Critic Reviews

By Ahnaf TajwarDragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is a masterful and engaging addition to the Dragon Ball franchise. There is nothing quite like Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, and it surpasses expectations for any fan of Dragon Ball. Creating and training your own character, reliving iconic moments with a twist in the same vein as Marvel’s “What if…?”, and exploring the ever-expanding content keeps the game fresh and exciting while capturing the true essence of the Dragon Ball universe.
Generación Xbox
By Frank MontesTo end this analysis, I can only tell you that as a fan of Toriyama's work, this new next-gen update suits the game very well. It is true that the technical capabilities of current consoles are slightly exploited and this leaves a lot to say about Bandai Namco.
Push Square
By Robert RamseyXenoVerse 2's outstanding longevity must be praised, and it's still a fun game to explore, but it can be difficult to recommend. Parts of this time-travelling adventure haven't aged well at all, and although the game's impressive scope does counterbalance a lot of its flaws, you need to know that the core gameplay loop is an almighty grind — now more than ever before.
Hobby Consolas
By Daniel QuesadaEven 8 years later, this game is still one of the best in the franchise and has tons of surprises to discover. Of course, we would have appreciated it if they took advantage of the generational leap to provide important technical innovations.
SwitchRPG
By Timothy TaylorDragonball Xenoverse 2 is available on other consoles, and I have played them, but the Switch is the best place for the game to call home. The handheld options take the game to a new level, online battles work just fine with Nintendo Switch Online, and local multiplayer is a blast even with joycons. Dragonball Xenoverse 2 for the Nintendo Switch is easily one of the best Dragonball games ever made, and it surpasses The Legacy of Goku as the best localized Dragonball RPG ever. Although the game has been out for a while now, it’s still going strong. It is a great time to pick it up due to its $40USD price point, and brand-new DLC that adds Broly and Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta are just on the horizon. Simply put, this game is a MUST PLAY for Dragonball fans.
