Critic Reviews
INDIANTVCZ
By Petr DuppalImmortal: Unchained only wants to feed on big brands such as Bloodborne, Dark Souls or The Surge. But the developers couldn't understand what makes these titles so special and entertaining. The Xbox One version is pulled down by technical problems. We recommend the title for two out of ten points. It would be better for you to wait a few months for a better hardcore action RPG.
ZTGD
By Anthony MannThis has to be one of the more original Dark Souls-like games available, and anyone looking for a fresh take on the formula will be able to find enjoyment in Immortal: Unchained as long as they are willing to overlook a fair lack of polish.
GameMAG
By xtrAnd although there are many deficiencies, balance and design problems in this game, developers manage to keep the users' attention due to the well-designed atmosphere, strong opponents and the Souls concept, where battles with dangerous enemies are filled with adrenaline.
Impulsegamer
By Sean WarhurstStrangely enough, I like quite a few elements of Immortal: Unchained; the deeper focus on story is personally welcomed, even if admittedly it got a little confusing at times, and the level design is honestly some of the best I've seen in a Soulslike experience that didn't come from From themselves.
We Got This Covered
By Edward LoveThere's room for a direct-to-TV rip of the Dark Souls formula, but at a current asking price of $50, Immortal: Unchained is impossible to recommend.
