About the story
Following the events of the first game, Beatrix LeBeau journeys across the Slime Sea to Rainbow Island after receiving a mysterious message calling her toward a new adventure. Upon arriving, she discovers a vibrant land filled with unknown slimes, ancient technology, and strange ruins hiding secrets tied to the island’s past. As Beatrix builds a new conservatory and explores Rainbow Island’s different regions, she uncovers mysterious drone messages, hidden laboratories, and signs of a forgotten civilization connected to the island’s true purpose. While caring for slimes and expanding her ranch, she slowly pieces together the mystery surrounding Rainbow Island and the forces that shaped it.

It is the epitome of what a sequel should be, an improvement upon the predecessor with few drawbacks. Though the game suffers some frame rate drops and the 'combat' could be tweaked to be more creative. Slime Rancher 2 remains a fantastic game.
