By Erielle SudarioSlime Heroes is a magical kids' game with a hint of the Soulslike genre sprinkled onto it. While it's not an exact replica of the genre, there are elements of it that make it a great way to introduce the genre to a younger audience. Even if you try to set the game to easy mode, it will still challenge you regardless of whether that would be the environment or the boss' move sets. While there is not much to do in the overworld, it's still such a colourful game with a great story to tell, and your skills will be tested if you're willing to challenge yourself.

By Will BorgerI think it’s a good game if you’re playing alone. I have high hopes for the co-op once it’s fixed. It’s charming and cute and playing with the spell system is a good time, and it has the ebb and flow of combat that makes Souls-likes fun. If you’re looking for a kinder, gentler Souls-like, Slime Heroes is the game for you.

By Matheus JenevainI believe that Slime Heroes is a good choice for everyone, regardless of whether they are fans of the genre or not. Furthermore, I think it can also be considered a good first “soulslike”, very friendly, for those who are interested in learning more about one of the most essential mechanics of the genre.

By Harry Glynn JonesWhat ultimately kept me engaged in Slime Heroes wasn’t the story, but the way its mechanics all worked together to create such a compelling gameplay loop. The combat/magic system, dungeons, and world design are seamlessly intertwined, constantly pushing you to experiment and improve. I was always excited to encounter a new enemy, knowing they would have a new ability for me to unlock and try out! Slime Heroes proves that Souls-likes don’t have to be grim to be great. With its charming aesthetic and deep mechanics, it offers a fresh take on the genre—one that’s as fun for longtime fans as it is for newcomers looking for a challenge wrapped in a friendlier package.
