Palworld is a multiplayer open-world survival game that combines creature-collecting with crafting, base-building, and combat. Set on the Palpagos Islands, players capture and tame animal-like creatures called Pals, which can be used as mounts, combat partners, or workers at player-built bases. About the story
The Palpagos Islands are home to hundreds of mysterious creatures known as Pals. Players awaken in this untamed open world where multiple factions vie for control: the Rayne Syndicate, the Free Pal Alliance liberation movement, the Brothers of the Eternal Pyre, the Palpagos Islands Defense Force, and the Pal Genetic Research Unit. Each faction is led by powerful Pal trainers who occupy towers scattered across the islands, guarding their territory against outsiders. Caught between these warring groups, players must survive by capturing and forming bonds with Pals while navigating a lawless frontier where hostile forces patrol the wilds and a wanted system punishes those who cross the wrong lines.

By Julian BarberPalworld, even in its early access state, has far exceeded the expectations I had set for the game. The exploration can feel challenging but fair, and the rewarding feeling you get from leveling up your base or catching a Pal with an extremely low catch rate is amazing. Even with the fairly easy late-game Pal grabbing existing and multiplayer experience not being perfect, I can confidently say that Palworld is definitely shaping up to be something special.

By Daman ShelleyPalworld is an enigma. The game is full of glaring inconsistencies that are hard to ignore; nothing in the game feels cohesive; it just feels tacked on to each other. If the game is meant to compete with Pokémon, then it has a chance with some of the Pals designs, but it has nothing that makes Pokémon and monster-catching games so special. Your Pals aren't friends; they aren't there to help you grow and become stronger. They are there to be used and exploited, and that's not what makes the monster-catching genre special.

By Laikyn SiebritzIf you’re looking for a new style in survival games, or you enjoy monster hunter-type games, then Palworld will be worth your time and even if you’re completely new to the survival genre, Palword is a great place to start as it’s very noob friendly. Palworld’s success came as a bit of a surprise, but it deserves all the praise it is receiving at the moment, and if Pocket Pair follows through on their plans, then I see this game continuing to be extremely popular. As for me, well, I still need to go catch ‘em all and become a Pal master.
