About the story

Mail Mole is a charming 3D platformer featuring Molty, the fastest delivery mole, in his quest to save Carrotland from disaster! Explore magical worlds, make new friends, race against Mecha-Moles, find collectibles, solve puzzles and deliver awesomeness to the end of the world! Running through the underground, climbing walls and soaring the skies, there's no place our hero can't reach! Traveling with Cannon Lines, Molty will take on the most demanding and varied platforming challenges to reach Carrotland's furthest and oldest Mailboxes: endless pits, giant boulders, steep slopes, bouncing platforms, sharp spikes..... tough roads! But when the power is out, you can't send an e-mail! Explore magical worlds, from the calm beaches of Coconut Islands to the freezing heights of Yeti Ridge, make new friends, race against unusual mech-rivals, solve puzzles and find all of the delicious collectibles scattered around Carrotland, as Molty (the mail mole!) embarks on an adventure to make his most important delivery yet... before it's too late! In Peaceful Plaza, Carrotland's main hub, you'll meet a happy bunch of villagers, which are currently worried because of a fishy power outage. But worry not, as Molty will help to fix the power lines and receive some accessories as a reward! An elegant top hat, a goofy straw hat, a lovely bunny headband or a flashy jetpack will make Molty look like the coolest mail mole around!

There's no doubt that releasing a 3D platformer on a console that Mario built (and currently has quite a few titles out on as well) takes some guts, and while Mail Mole can't be considered up on the high tier that franchise occupies it also has some charm and mass appeal that help it to be at least notable...

For anyone who is passionate about platform games like me, Mail Mole is a good choice. The title brings the most basic concepts of the genre and is nothing innovative, but offers fun for a few hours with its creative level design. Technical issues and lack of polish hinder the experience, and a possible low budget is not a justification for this. The game does not stand out among the latest releases of platform games, however it is enjoyable by both fans and those who just want to relax with an easy and short title.

If you’re a fan of 3D platformers, then Mail Mole is definitely worth your time. It’s no Super Mario Odyssey or Super Lucky’s Tale, but it hits plenty of the same notes, offering a fun and inoffensive adventure that’ll provide several hours of entertainment. Plus, considering its budget price ($15/£12.50), most of its missteps can be forgiven. And who doesn’t love a mole in a fancy hat?

Mail Mole is a 3D platform game that plays a lot like Super Mario 3D World... perhaps too much. Still, it has a good collection of rich levels, and a simple but likeable style. If you want to beat every mark, it is a considerable challenge.
