A virtual reality port of Nightdive Studios’ remake of the classic 1994 immersive sim. Rebuilt for Meta Quest, PlayStation VR2, and SteamVR, the game brings the atmospheric corridors of Citadel Station into VR, allowing players to experience its exploration, combat, puzzles, and cyberpunk horror from an immersive first-person perspective while facing the rogue AI SHODAN and her mutated and cybernetic forces.

By Gaming ProfessorsSystem Shock Remake is a full-fledged successor to a game that once inspired a great many titles that followed. Although it had a major impact on the gaming world, for some reason it didn’t receive as much attention as other cult classics of its era. If you’re looking for a survival horror game with stylized graphics, don’t mind searching for various cards, and love dungeon crawlers, you shouldn’t miss System Shock Remake. This game proves that video game remakes make sense as long as they preserve the original difficulty, style, and concept. Overall, fans of FPS RPGs—such as Deus Ex, BioShock, or even the long-forgotten Neurohunter—shouldn’t miss it. For me, as a fan of this genre, it’s an almost perfect game.

By Alessandro Da CampoSystem Shock manages to package, for better or for worse, a remake based on fidelity, remaining a little rough but still able to offer an appreciable title with respect for the original.
