About the story
Shendoah―a world protected by Sephiroth. However, with the power of the world tree having begun to wane, countless people have been overcome by an encroaching murk that has transformed them into monsters. Now with the world on the verge of destruction, an unlikely band sets out an adventure with their convictions... Yet, what shocking truth awaits them at the end of their journey...? Navigate trap-filled dungeons using only your mind and wit to conquer challenging puzzles! Use individual character abilities to make headway and unleash powerful attacks called “fusions” in turn-based battles! Weapon upgrades and many subquests are available for additional enjoyment.

By Kirk HinerIf you're new to Kemco games or JPRGs in general, Sephirothic Stories serves as a light, quick (the game can be finished in around 10 hours), simple introduction to the genre. Unless you're looking for a deep challenge or a modern presentation, there's nothing really wrong here. However, there's also not much new or terribly interesting, making Sephirothic Stories a game that's okay to miss.

By Ben ThompsonI've accepted that these kind of games will have an in-game shop, and perhaps multiple premium currencies, but don't make those systems mandatory for progression even if you don't have to come out of pocket for it during a normal difficulty playthrough.
