A rogue-lite twin-stick shooter/brawler that never plays the same twice. Collect and control 60 different characters as the body-snatching alien Parasite with a grudge against humanity. Fight to the top of the food chain: possess the President, push the Big Red Button, and one-up the human race. It's the 80's all over again. Only this time, the human race has more than an obnoxious pop culture to contend with. With World War III nearing its demise, Earth only just begins to catch its breath when it is threatened by yet another menace. Unlike the preposterous mullets of its inhabitants, however, this one's invisible – a parasitic organism capable of making hosts of unsuspecting human beings, consuming what's left of their souls and wreaking unfathomable havoc. And it's spreading. With a vengeance. Martial laws have been declared to make way for a global hunt, battle-hardened law enforcers have made allies of the most degenerate of criminals, while the rest of the world is paralyzed with paranoia; yet who can be trusted? Who can see it, let alone destroy it? That's for them to worry about. For you are the enemy. You are the organism with a mission. You are... HyperParasite.

Critic Reviews
GameGrin
By Alana DunitzHyper Parasite is a very challenging rogue-like game that features a lot of cool '80s inspired characters and a cool mechanic that has you playing as a parasite taking over different host bodies to survive. The game might not look great but is still addictive to play.
Movies Games and Tech
By Thomas DacombeHowever, for what HyperParasite lacks in presentation and progression, its unique gameplay ideas and exciting abilities make every run feel different enough to want to keep coming back for more, and it will have you muttering, “Just one more run” for hours.
I Love Videogames
By Andrea SorichettiHyperparasite is an arcade that sounds like the good old times. Tough, very tough, but really addicting, expecially in co-op.
GameMAG
ByHyperParasite is a good concept that is broken down by a low level of product testing. The inability to save the game as you progress through the stages and repeatedly return to the very beginning with the same boss irritates. Local co-op and minor problems with management spoil in theory an interesting project that you can try, but only if you are a fan of the genre, and all the other games have already finished.
ZTGD
By Ken McKownHyperParasite has a wonderful look and feel, but is marred by its “rogue” elements. It doesn’t do anything to push the genre forward and feels like yet another game that I would likely never finish due to tedium.
