About the story
In the late 13th century, the Mongol empire has laid waste to entire nations along their campaign to conquer the East. Tsushima Island is all that stands between mainland Japan and a massive Mongol invasion fleet led by the ruthless and cunning general, Khotun Khan. As the island burns in the wake of the first wave of the Mongol assault, courageous samurai warrior Jin Sakai stands resolute. As one of the last surviving members of his clan, Jin is resolved to do whatever it takes, at any cost, to protect his people and reclaim his home. He must set aside the traditions that have shaped him as a warrior to forge a new path, the path of the Ghost, and wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Tsushima.

PC players had clearly been waiting for a port of Ghost of Tsushima, and Nixxes Software has delivered a finely tuned package that looks more gorgeous than ever, plays more smoothly than ever and brings a few nifty PC-exclusive features that enhance the experience. The game itself, of course, arrives unchanged, which means its flaws are present on PC, too. Its open-world ideas chose to recycle rather than reinvent existing tropes and your core gameplay loop isn't too dissimilar from an Assassin's Creed title. But, when it comes to presenting those familiar ideas in evocative ways, Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut is a cut above the rest.

Once again, Nixxes brings to PC gamers a very popular PlayStation exclusive with a port of exquisite quality. The already stunning artistic direction of Ghost of Tsushima on PS4 shows here its full poetic potential, even if some textures have not aged well. From a technical point of view, it's although a work of art worthy of the greatest katana makers. If you never had the chance to discover Sucker Punch's vision of feudal Japan, do yourself a favor and jump into its PC version. We guarantee you that you'll not be disappointed by this journey on Tsushima's island.

Ghost of Tsushima arrives on PC with a technically impeccable port, offering a new audience the chance to enjoy a title that stands out, but has plenty of potential for much more. an experience that, on the one hand, holds back and does not allow itself to develop its full potential. A title held back by the need to comply with the conventions of the medium, which fails to fully spread its wings to end up crowning itself as something unique, remaining fluttering on the ground of the familiar.

Nixxes managed to create a really impressive port, which didn't need a day one patch to fix framerate and overall experience issues.
