Fruit Ninja Kinect 2 (2015)

If you enjoyed Fruit Ninja on either the iOS or XBox 360 then it's probably worth checking out this title on the new XBox One. Given that it is a casual game, the replay value may become a little boring as you progress but Halfbrick Studios should be commended on making it quite a responsive and accurate game on the XBox One.

Outside of the noted problems though, the game controls perfectly and doesn't miss a step, and if you were a fan of the original then this is an absolute no-brainer.

A solid enough party game that does little to encourage solo play.

'Fruit Ninja Kinect 2' brings the chopping, slashing action of its predecessor to the Xbox One, but struggles to provide the enticing new content expected from a sequel.

Let's get down to brass tacks, if you like Kinect games, you'll probably enjoy Fruit Ninja Kinect 2. It's simple, somewhat addictive, and contains some easy gamerscore that is sure to hold a decent ratio. On the opposite side, if you treat your Kinect like some sort of wizard boy to be kept under the stairs, there's nothing here to convince you otherwise. The addition of Festival Modes injects a little bit of variety to the gameplay, but are largely unremarkable. With a price point of $14.99 (or your regional equivalent) the game is a nice spot of family-friendly fun and a solid (if unspectacular) Kinect game.
