Outside of the rough philosophical implications, Etherborn provides a player with some seriously fun and often difficult puzzles that will force you to engage to proceed.

Altered Matter’s confection of abstract art, sound, and puzzle design balances increased difficulty with an unspoken delicacy.

With nice visuals and creative challenges, Etherborn is a fun platformer that, despite not delivering its narrative message as well as it could, still deserves the attention of the fans of the genre.

Etherborn is a short and sweet platform-like puzzler game. It features surreal, artistic graphics, beautiful music, "ethereal" controls and is in itself quite unique. The downside is the game can be completed in three to five hours

Etherborn is an excellent puzzle and platform game, with an incredibly inspired and highly challenging level design. The soundtrack borders on a great level with live recorded music and a dubbing to match. On the other hand, it's too short a title, with an insufficient number of levels despite its game modes and an unneeded storyline that's rather there for the taking.
