Fan-favorite Fat Princess will make her delicious debut on the PlayStation 4 system with the release of Fat Princess Adventures in 2015. Cooked up by the minds that brought you the original game, this new co-op adventure from Fun Bits Interactive serves up a generous helping of the cheeky light-hearted humor that made the PlayStation 3 game a hit. Up to four friends can team up for a not-so-epic adventure to slay monsters, steal loot, rescue the princesses, gobble cake, and defeat the evil Bitter Queen. Your band of comrades will stab, smash, grab and grub your way through the land of Great Bitten with all the mischief that you would expect from a Fat Princess RPG.

By Mat PagetFat Princess Adventures' charm and humor fail to elevate it above its mediocre premise.

By Matt SainsburySitting down with mates, beers, and chips, there are few more enjoyable ways to pass a weekend than playing through Fat Princess Adventures. It's a deliberately limited game, but it works well within its self-imposed restrictions to keep the focus on the party atmosphere from start through to finish, and while it won't be remembered as a classic game by any stretch of the imagination, this is a good one to have sitting on the PlayStation 4 hard drive for when friends are over.

By Stefan LUnfortunately, Fat Princess Adventures comes across as something of a missed opportunity. For one thing, it's a genre shift which will disappoint those who want more of the multiplayer carnage from the original, but while there's still fun to be had, this is a fairly shallow game which leans too close to the childlike facade of the art style.

Worth Playing
By Brian DumlaoFat Princess Adventures is a great entry into the hack-and-slash genre for those who don't necessarily want something sprawling. The lack of deeper mechanics and loot is compensated by a fun combat system that feels good whether you're playing multiplayer or solo. The ability to change classes at any time is great for those who want variety or are undecided, and the game's length is breezy enough to feel satisfying. Overall, those looking for a fun break from the likes of Diablo III on the system will find Fat Princess Adventures to be a nice alternative.
