Long-long time ago the world was created out of an egg-shell by a god named Yen. In the murky depths of the endless ocean the Lower World was born. The Middle World was made for the men to dwell, and the Upper World was were the ancient gods would reside. Multitude of spirits dwells among the layers of creation, guarding their secrets in the dark. Embark on a journey through all the worlds of ancient myth, find artefacts of Chud' tribes and solve all the mysteries of finno-ugric tales. You are the Mooseman and you have the ability to see all that is hidden to the mortal eye. You are about to visit three layers of this universe - the first one is the Lower World where ancient spirits dwell.

By Charles KyleIf you are a lover of the arts and really enjoy the different mythologies from around the world then you definitely owe it to yourself to experience The Mooseman. One of the draws this game had with me was the artistic approach and covering a subject matter I knew little about going in. While not a truly heavy "gameplay" component is in the game, it makes up for with the story telling through lore and collectibles. The art style is also something to behold as it truly feels that you are experiencing the telling of Russian Perm tribes.

It's apparent that Morteshka put a lot of research, time, and care into the game. While it may seem too short to some, I feel that it is the perfect length to explore these myths of old. I found The Mooseman to be a work of art and an ingenious way to explore a tale that was woven in perfectly with the game's different puzzles.

I would however, be more inclined to replay Limbo as I have done before, whereas The Mooseman is just missing that something in its gameplay that makes me want to enjoy the challenges it has to offer.
