Critic Reviews
Pure Nintendo
By Kaelyn DaughertyA solid, portable way to experience Hitman Absolution. It has a few flaws, but the motion controls, fair price, and upcoming Contracts Mode make the Switch port worth playing.
Gaming Age
By Matthew PolleselHitman: Absolution represents the series’ awkward, stumbling growth period. Play it you want to see where some of the ideas in the World of Assassination trilogy got their start, but don’t expect the game to reach anywhere near the same heights.
Impulsegamer
By ImpulsegamerOverall, Hitman Absolution is a solid addition to the Nintendo Switch library. While it may not appeal to all die-hard Hitman fans, there's enough here for portable players to enjoy. With the announced update, Switch 2 owners may want to hold off on purchasing until the free patch arrives next year.

By Erick FigueiredoHitman: Absolution is a rather weak title for a series that values creativity and freedom of expression for its players. Despite introducing good ideas, which were carried over to the World of Assassination trilogy and even ported to Blood Money – Reprisal, the experience itself leaves much to be desired for those seeking the Hitman formula.

By Coller EntragianPlaying Hitman: Absolution on Switch is a great way to replay it or give it a second chance. The gyro aiming improves the playability dramatically and may get veteran naysayers to accept the game on its own terms. It's a flawed and sometimes dumb experience with situations that make no sense, but still manages to be one of the better third-person action-adventure games, and a lot of it has to do with the gritty signature Hitman ambiance, presentation, and 47's impossibly cool dialogue and wit. He's a fun character, and getting any chance to be him is worth a few instances of sloppy design.
