Worth Playing
By Adam PavlackaIn the end, Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection nails the visual update but stumbles when it comes to gameplay. Hardcore fans of the franchise can look past the rough edges and find the fun buried underneath, but if you don't feel like putting forth the effort, you'll probably be happier playing the original arcade game via Capcom Arcade Stadium.
Worth Playing
ByGhosts 'n Goblins Resurrection stands out as perhaps one of the most accessible games in the series yet. The various difficulty levels, accompanying adjustments, and the unlimited lives for all difficulty levels give series newcomers a sense of hope that they can see the game to its conclusion. At the same time, the title remains tough and uncompromising in enemy count and gameplay, giving longtime fans some comfort that the series hasn't lost its appeal. It is a solid game, and the only players who should stay away are those who hate facing an elevated level of difficulty from the get-go.
DarkZero
By Dominic SheardIn the end, Capcom has made a faithful resurrection for Ghosts 'n Goblins, keeping true to the original game in so many areas that it causes it to also suffer from the same issues I have with the older games.
GameGrin
By Alana DunitzGhosts 'n Goblins Resurrection is a great addition to the classic Ghosts 'n Goblins series. The visuals are beautiful and with the option of different difficulties, abilities to learn and level choices this game is fun to play no matter your skill level.
GameBlast
By Alexandre GalvãoWith several improvements and options to make it more accessible — less difficult should be more suitable — or more challenging, Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection is the best version of a videogame classic. With a presentation that brings excellent art and music, in addition to elements that greatly enhance the gameplay, the high difficulty still makes the game be targeted to a more specific niche. Still recommended, but to be enjoyed in moderation.
