DOOM Eternal on PS5 quite simply underscores the already lofty calibre of one of the best shooters ever with a delectable coat of visual polish which keeps id Software's PlayStation swansong ripping and tearing among the very best of its genre contemporaries.

It's not for nothing that Doom Eternal is one of the best shooters of recent years. In addition to a perfect story campaign, it also offers a fast-paced, fast-paced gameplay, which is enhanced by a beautiful graphic coat and a synthetic, predatory and musically charged soundtrack by Mick Gordon. You'll equally appreciate the excellent firearms arsenal, in which every weapon has its use on the battlefield, the elaborate locations, and the plethora of diverse, perfectly designed monsters whose elimination through the brutal but playful and occasionally humorous Glory Killy you'll truly enjoy. This is a modern shooter, as it should be.

In Doom Eternal, ripping and tearing has never felt so good, even if the last few chapters really test your patience.

DOOM Eternal is one insanely thrilling action packed shooter that perfectly blends the classic elements of the franchise within modern era mechanics.

Doom Eternal is an adrenaline-fueled ride full of great action, but it trips over itself with too many systems added to the combat. I love Doom Eternal, but I love 2016's Doom a little bit more.
