About the story
It's your first day as the newly appointed Ambassador of Earth! Ah, smell that? That's the smell of the slow-but-inexorable bureaucracy that keeps this galaxy running smoothly! Well, running, at least. And now it's your chance to become a part of that bureaucracy, finally! As you step into the hallowed halls of the Galactic Federation Assembly and give your opening speech, something seems off...no it's not the smell of the Slorg ambassador, that's normal. When the video screen lowers so you can show off your homeworld to your gathered Ambassadors...you realize the Earth is missing! As the Ambassador, you know it's your duty to save your beloved Earth! Plus, none of the other ambassadors seem to care much for a backwater planet they've never heard of. So begins your adventure to find the Earth and unite the galaxy's Citizens under your banner!

We are ambassador from Earth and have to figure out why it's missing. You assemble your interplanetary team and can enjoy some good old turn-based combat with a QTE twist, which makes it slightly more engaging than most.

Perhaps after the bugs get ironed out it can be recommended, but in its current state it just has too many flaws that will distract. The side-quests are amusing as varied enough to break up the completely linear main plot and one could easy find these optional diversions to be the most entertaining piece to this package. Anyone who enjoyed Citizens of Earth is certain to get a lot of enjoyment from Citizens of Space.

By Jason QuinnI just have a hard time figuring out what the ambition or goal behind this game is. Who was this game for? I honestly don’t know of anyone that would find the writing style funny or would be willing to stick it out for the full length of the game. Personally, I think comedy is better when its balanced with drama. Having a focus on comedy doesn’t mean you have to constantly have an attempt at a joke in every single line of dialogue. It doesn’t help that none of the jokes landed for me. Maybe a small chuckle here and there, but more often than not, I found it annoying. I also don’t think it means you have to forego any sort of real character development. This feels like an episode of some bad “adult” cartoon sitcom but stretched to 30 hours. If you really like that sort of humor, I suppose I can recommend it. $15 is a pretty cheap price, so you might get your money’s worth. For everyone else though, I can’t recommend it.

Citizens of Space oozes charisma and for those looking for a fun silly experience, this is the game for you.
