By John-Paul JonesThough a touch short and overly streamlined in its vision, Bomb Chicken nonetheless offers up a tremendously entertaining, highly digestible and resolutely clever platformer that everyone will be able to enjoy.
oprainfall
By Josh SpeerIn the end, I don’t know if the bomb or chicken came first, and I don’t care. They are delightful when mixed together, and Bomb Chicken is a true gem. It’s a colorful and challenging game that is full of personality, and it’s truly a one of a kind. It plays marvelously on the Nintendo Switch, and is a good contender for one of the best indies I’ve played in 2018. Nitrome have done great work with this one, and I find myself eagerly anticipating whatever they hatch next.

By EdENBomb Chicken is a very fun release on Nintendo Switch that I highly recommend. It's clever and does things differently from other platformers on Nintendo's hybrid console, and the art style, enemy design, the setup of each stage and the difficulty curve are top notch. The game might be short, with around 3 to 4 hours of content if you want to 100% it, which might rub some of you the wrong way with its $14.99 asking price, but trust me, it's worth every penny since this one is all killer no filler.
Goomba Stomp
By Ricky da ConceiçãoEach level is well designed, from the crisp audio, clear visuals and the delightfully charming animated characters, and given that the price tag is less than or equal to a Happy Meal, Bomb Chicken is well worth your money and time.

By Jason FaulknerBomb Chicken isn't an innovative, genre-shaking, powerhouse. It doesn't set out to be. Instead, you get some real solid 2D platforming action with a unique mechanic that sets it apart from its predecessors.
