Beyond Blue's simple gameplay and concept also ends up becoming its main shortcoming, as there could have been a lot more to this, especially regarding the exploration of the submarine world, and the game's graphics that fall behind the threshold of what is required for such an experience.

In that case, you may be better off sticking to games like Subnautica that provide the same exploration with added goals and an even higher arching narrative.
