About the story
Manage a tailor shop and corpse-cooking business in a city where crime, corruption and poverty are commonplace. Percival and Hildred have just moved here with nothing but a dream: to get extremely rich. Take control of Percival to manage the tailor shop, wait for the arrival of clients looking for new suits and dresses, kill them when the moment is right, and throw them down the trap door, leading to the kitchen. Not before stealing their outfits however, their materials ready to be made into brand new clothes: waste not, want not!

The killing of innocent people in order to cook them into delicious meals for the unsuspecting public makes for a grim, disturbing and yet curious element in this horror cooking simulator. But is this more Demon Barber of Fleet Street, or Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares?

Even after playing for around eight or so hours, I couldn’t help but think why they are charging so little for such a unique take on the genre. Fans of games like this will quickly become hooked on the rinse and repeat mechanics but increasingly utilising the upgrades to turn more profit and a successful business.

By Sean DaviesMore entertaining than your average tycoon game, Ravenous Devils leverages a famous penny dreadful theme, namely Sweeney Todd, to give it a unique, dark tone. It’s a shame that this long pig pie is part-baked with a number of frustrating glitches that upsets its flavour. It also fails to turn its theme into anything mechanically interesting. Still, you’ll easily lose a few evenings to this game before its recipe becomes stale.

I would like to put a separate plus for the courage of the idea and concept. At the very least, this is something out of the ordinary. I can't particularly recommend it, but if you just unload your brain or get distracted, then it's quite suitable for yourself.

Ravenous Devils is unlike anything out there, and it won’t be for everyone, but there’s no denying that it’s a nicely made and oddly enjoyable experience.
