Underhero is a 2D side-scroller RPG adventure game with timing-based combat. It tells an intriguing and mysterious story, full of silly characters brimming with personality, quirky dialogue, and lots of weird humor. Inspired by Paper Mario games and RPGs in general, it tells the story of a world where the chosen hero has failed and an underling of the main villain takes his place as the new “hero”. Join the magical hilt Elizabeth the IV and the little Masked Kid, as they travel the world to restore Elizabeth’s long lost power, so they can defeat the tyrannical Mr. Stitches and save the world once and for all!

By Spooky_0neAlthough Underhero will forever be one of my favourite games, the ending worlds do drag on a bit. Despite that, I recommend basically everyone try it, as it will definitely put a smile on your face.
Nintendo Life
By Mitch VogelDespite minor flaws with presentation and control, UnderHero proves itself to be a rewarding experience that frequently surprises with its ingenuity and writing. This isn't exactly a 'go out and buy it now' kind of gam, but if you like the sound of it, you likely won't be disappointed by the content on offer here. It's not perfect, but a well-paced story, engaging combat system, and beautiful world make UnderHero a game that rarely disappoints, and we'd recommend it to anybody looking for a good 'deep cut' for their Switch library.

By Chris HallWhen the Chosen Hero is accidentally defeated it falls to you, a lowly masked minion to the villainous Mr. Stitches to save the Chestnut Kingdom from certain doom! But is UnderHero undervalued or underdeveloped? Find out in this review.
The Thirsty Mage
By David LloydUnderhero even replicates the same goofy humour that Paper Mario fans are accustomed to. Dialogue between characters is well written and plenty of laughs are to be had. Underhero is a perfect example of an indie game that can fill the void left by an old favourite, and fans who’ve been waiting patiently for Paper Mario to go back to its RPG roots should definitely take notice.
