From kickstarter: "The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human is a metroid-vania styled action/adventure game where you play as the navigator of Argo 9, a spaceship/submarine hybrid, thrust back to Earth in a time after humans have gone extinct. Whereupon one will have to explore to uncover the reasons for humanity's downfall meanwhile encountering monstrous sea creatures. The focus of this game lies in exploration, story and boss battles. It is up to the player to determine if the ruins of our species is a travesty or an inevitable conclusion."
About the story
From official web: "In the far future humanity is no more. The earth has been flooded for centuries and without humans the wild-life is thriving. Take control of the long lost space ship-submarine hybrid Argo 9 on a spectacular adventure to a not so familliar homeworld."

By Ville Polvela"Immersive Metroidvania with unique bosses."
Nindie Spotlight
By Nindie SpotlightIn the end The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human is a decent but bare bones Metroidvania experience whose greatest asset is just being a little different. People who like to be challenged may find the tough bosses to be a fun test of skill but the dead periods in between as you figure out where to go would probably detract from the enjoyment for them. It’s not a bad title, it’s just hard to get excited about it when there are just better and more fleshed out titles available in the eShop.

By Evan NorrisPart far-future sci-fi, part Metroidvania, and part Shadow of the Colossus, The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human is a worthy action-adventure title.

By PS4Blog.netThe Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human is an interesting minimalist 2D Metroidvania that favors exploration for most of its gameplay loop while also throwing some bosses at you here and there at a steady pace. It's the right length as to not overstay its welcome, and is a game on PlayStation 4 you should check out.

By TraceyIf you're a fan of the Metroidvania genre, then you should definitely get The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human. The gameplay is solid, and the game is a lot of fun with plenty of content to offer on PS4. You'll explore colorful areas as well as other more post-apocalyptic dark spaces that will keep you coming back for more as you secure more power-ups that allow you to progress further and further into the game. Defeating enemies and bosses and searching for audio logs as you learn more and more about the lore of this universe feels great, and I'm sure you'll love the polished writing for both.
