Video Chums
By A.J. MaciejewskiI had a good time with Startenders: Intergalactic Bartending but it can be a rather finicky and repetitive affair so keep that in mind.
PlayStation Universe
By Timothy NunesStartenders begins its life on the PSVR 2 with unfortunate technical issues. Those aside, this is still a job simulator game. It's done well enough when it works, but the game loop doesn't offer much else. It has an attractive price point for what it is, but wait for a patch before jumping in.
Push Square
By Simon FitzgeraldDuring our playthrough, however, we encountered several bugs with machinery getting stuck and items falling through the bar and not resetting to their default positions, making it impossible to complete orders. All the problems we found were solved with a quick restart of the level, but when it occurred multiple times it turned out to be quite the inconvenience. We also noticed the lack of any implementation of PSVR2’s newest features: headset haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and eye-tracking all appearing to be absent from this PSVR port.
Push Square
By Graham BanasAll in all, the title jams a surprising amount of content into a reasonably priced package, while offering a satisfyingly silly experience worthy of your time.
World Of Geek Stuff
By Amanda BlainI really wanted to like Startenders. The story is there. There is a lot of attention to detail with the various drink items, environment, and aliens. I was super disappointed with the seated play option, and even the latest tweaks still didn't make it fully playable.
