The sequel to the award winning Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Senua returns in a brutal journey of survival through the myth and torment of Viking Iceland. Intent on saving those who have fallen victim to the horrors of tyranny, Senua faces a battle of overcoming the darkness within and without.
About the story
In 9th-century Orkney, the warrior Senua allows herself to be captured by Northmen slavers, intending to cross the sea to Iceland where her people are held in bondage. When a violent storm wrecks the slave ships, Senua washes ashore alone on the Icelandic coast, haunted by the voices that have followed her since childhood. She soon learns that the land is gripped by a different kind of terror: giants born from a volcanic eruption have driven settlements to ruin, and the survivors live under the tyranny of those who exploit the chaos. Guided by the mysterious Hiddenfolk and joined by unlikely allies, Senua sets out to confront the giants, free the enslaved, and face the human cruelty that feeds on fear.

By Mario RicerniSenua’s Saga: Hellblade II sacrifices gameplay depth in favor of a slow, cinematic journey defined by sights, sounds, and interpretation... an experience not for everyone, but one of the most visually powerful and evocative of this generation

By Dustin SpinoSenua's Saga: Hellblade II is an unforgettable experience and easily one of the best games I've played this generation. The stunning visuals and incredible voice acting create an immersive journey, and the artistic touches are unparalleled to anything I’ve played. While the experience is on the shorter side, it’s an experience that is filled with incredible detail from beginning to end. I am really happy we got to experience this on the PS5, especially with upgraded performance features.

By Raouf Belhamra"Beauty in the Darkness" Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II Enhanced offers one of the most stunning visual and aural experiences in gaming, but it also offers restrictive and repetitive gameplay that may not satisfy those seeking mechanical depth. However, its narrative power and immersive design make it a worthwhile journey for those who appreciate audiovisual art in gaming.
Push Square
By Liam CroftSenua's Saga: Hellblade 2 is more enjoyable as a visual and auditory experience than it is to actually play. Even with new modes and a smooth 60fps mode the new Enhanced edition provides, the Ninja Theory sequel fails on two fronts: bad puzzles and repetitive combat. Despite that, you'll never play anything else quite like Hellblade 2; the game's very unique approach to the sensory side of video games is exquisite. It just about warrants playing entirely because of that.

By Lorenzo BolognaThe technical evolution of Hellblade 2 has been a success. Ninja Theory has managed to craft a revamped and refined version of last year's already impressive title. While there are obviously still divisive factors regarding the concept and gameplay devised by the British studio, Senua's adventure is worth experiencing for anyone looking for a short but intense experience, now more than ever.
