Diablo Immortal is a mobile Massively Multiplayer Online Action RPG (MMOARPG) co-developed by Blizzard Entertainment and NetEase, coming exclusively to Android, iPhone and iPad.
About the story
The story of Diablo Immortal is set between the events of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction and Diablo III. The Worldstone lies shattered, yet great power remains within its corrupted fragments. Power that Diablo’s minions hope to harness to bring about the return of the Lord of Terror. The Archangel Tyrael is presumed dead, and mankind is left to deal with the aftermath of his actions. Fragments of the corrupted Worldstone taint the land, bringing forth ancient evils who are looking to harvest the stone’s power and use it to control humanity.

It is undeniable that the monetization system of Diablo Immortal has problems and makes the most advanced stages of the adventure unpleasant, but this does not mean that the Blizzard title has brought to the mobile market one of the best experiences in the action RPG field, and it is really difficult to find on the App Store and Google Play Store another free to play with such high production values.

Diablo Immortal is an absolutely stunning experience, even on mobile. The game is really easy to pick up, even for people new to the Diablo series. Gameplay is smooth and impactful and the voiceover work is top tier. Aside from hating the 'grind', this is my new favorite MMO experience!

Diablo Immortal is a simplified and more accessible version of the series that can still provide hours of mindless fun and entertainment. Sadly, the games suffers in the long run because of all the tedious grinding and the greedy monetization system, making a game experience that starts as very enjoyable much less so as time goes on.

Diablo Immortal is a pleasant surprise for the most part. The franchise spirit inspired me to keep pushing forward until I got to the endgame material, where it became apparent that the whole thing had been a ploy to lure me into a cruel business scheme. Aside from the few flaws with the PC version, an overabundance of microtransactions and user interface distract the game's overall impression. This ordeal has been a roller coaster ride for me, and I'm glad to be out of it.
