Critic Reviews
GameOnly
By Rafał GubałaBecastled is a production with clear potential and some interesting ideas, offering both pleasing visuals and fairly well-developed systems for expanding your settlement and army. The changing seasons, which have a real impact on gameplay, are something I find quite rare and therefore greatly appreciate. However, I can’t ignore the fundamental flaws and shortcomings that hold this title back.
Nindie Spotlight
By Justin NationAttempting to mix a “cozy” city-builder with more challenging strategy elements is an odd choice, and problems with unintuitive controls and concepts hold it back
TheXboxHub
By Ryan TaylorThe art style and core gameplay loop of Becastled are great. The concept is a solid one, and the way the city comes together is satisfying. It’s a shame then that it just doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to.
Gaming Nexus
By Jason DaileyBecastled is a streamlined and satisfying blend of city builder, tower defense, and real-time strategy that is easy to pick-up and tough to put down at times.
