Agatha Christie: Hercule Poirot - The London Case (2023)

I wasn’t a fan of The London Case, admittedly I am not a huge fan of Hercule Poirot outside of live action media though. But for me this game just felt unpolished and perhaps rushed, which maybe it was because as I write this a new Hercule game is set to drop this very week. Again, this is a sequel in a series that I haven’t played so this may be an improvement I don’t know, what I do know is that for someone who enjoys mystery, adventure games The London Case shall remain unsolved for this fledgling detective.

Agatha Christie – Hercule Poirot: The London Case follows the patterns of its predecessor and delivers a great mystery plot worthy of the author's best works. With simple mechanics and a shaky look, however, its best qualities are in the way the investigation is conducted and the twists that only good stories of the genre can provide.

I was looking forward to Agatha Christie – Hercule Poirot: The London Case and was not disappointed. I keep seeing complaints about visual and technical bugs, but in my playthrough, I didn’t experience any major once. Now that the movie Haunting in Venice has also emerged, this Autumn is Hercule Poirot’s. And we still have another game coming in October, Murder on the Orient Express, which promises a slightly different take on the story. It’s an excellent time to be a fan of detective games.

Fans of the Queen of Crime can once again incorporate an inexperienced Poirot in Agatha Christie: Hercule Poirot - The London Case, a new story that lives up to the british writer's narrative style. Even though there are a few blunders here and there, especially [when it comes to] the performance, players looking for an excellent mystery plot will find this to be an excellent adventure able to captivate for hours on end without getting tiresome.
