Play as the ultimate digital underdog in the Adventures of Pip,an action-platformer with a fresh gameplay twist inside a retro 32-bit world. Alas, Pip is an unlikely 1-pixel hero yet has the unique ability to absorb the pixels of his defeated enemies to evolve into three different forms. Players will skillfully switch between these three forms while exploring five worlds on an epic 10-hour campaign to defeat the Skeleton Queen. Adventures of Pip features a soundtrack by Jake “virt” Kaufman, composer for Shantae and the Pirates Curse, Bloodrayne: Betrayal, Shovel Knight, and more. The game will be available in June 2015 on Steam (PC/MAC), Nintendo WiiU, and coming soon to Xbox One, and PS4.

By Artura DawnAdventures of Pip's unique mechanic makes it stand out from the rest of the platformers I've played; the game makes wonderful use of the mechanic. Challenging enough to not make it a memory platformer but also not dull, this game is sure to charm any fans of the genre.
Movies Games and Tech
By Charles OmblerOverall, Adventures of Pip is 90% formulaic but well-built platformer with 10% juicy, new, resolution-switching puzzling. It’s a good example of a pure action platformer, but there are an awful lot of games in that genre and the question remains whether the bitforce transformations are enough to make it stand out from the crowd. I enjoyed my time with Adventures of Pip and I would recommend it. It’s neither jack-of-all-trades nor master of one, it’s more like ‘proficient at one and a half’, which is good enough for me.
Geeks Under Grace
By Adam MuellerThough the pixeled ideas of Adventures of Pip are fantastic, mediocre gameplay execution causes them to lose all their edge.
Use a Potion
By Use a PotionI had a good time playing through Adventures of Pip’s platforming escapade and it does have some really neat ideas, even if it doesn’t always utilise them to their full potential. Take the form-swapping for example: it’s a clever mechanic that could allow for a lot of versatility in the level-design, but it instead restricts you to having to utilise specific and often obvious abilities to progress. It’s not a game-breaker by any means and it didn’t stop me from enjoying my time with the game, but it does show that it could have been a lot more. Still, those looking for a fun platforming fix on their Nintendo Switch will certainly have a good time with Adventures of Pip, even if it might not light up their lives as much as similar titles in the genre do.
Nintendo Life
By Brett Posner-FerdmanOverall, Adventures of Pip makes the biggest mistake a game can make: being boring. While the game had a lot of potential, it is brought down by being unmemorable. A great soundtrack cannot justify bland level design, a restrictive bit-switching gimmick, and a lacklustre story. There are far more imaginative and innovative platformers on Switch that deserve a look over this.
