Critic Reviews

By Alexander WildSlain was nice, but not mature in my opinion. A graphic display that rode on the retro wave. However, the makers have taken the criticism to heart. The big hit is not VALFARIS. With Axiom Verge, Blazing Chrome, Gunlord & Co. there is also a lot of strong competition. Nevertheless, accompanied by metal rhythms, it is fun to chop up opponents. There is still frustration, but unlike Slain you have the feeling that you have failed yourself. I can recommend the title to fans of the genre. Everyone else prefers to play rehearsal first.
God is a Geek
By Chris WhiteValfaris is a superb action-platformer filled with violence, a killer soundtrack, and some gorgeously grotesque pixel art.

By Ken McKownThis is something Valfaris lacks, and I wish more indie developers understood when making these games that I very much want to play, I just lose interest in far too soon.
Player.it
By Graziano SaliniValfaris is beautiful to see and fun to play. A title that sprays metal from every pore and that will immediately enter the hearts of fans thanks to an artistic section from hands in hair, with detailed, charismatic and original settings. Musically speaking, the soundtrack, created by Curt Victor Braynt, alone could be worth the price of the ticket. If to all this we add a gameplay fun like few other things, with the right depth and the right adaptability we are faced with a very clear situation: Valfaris is one of those video games to play during 2019, whatever it costs.
Console-Tribe
By Simone CantiniValfaris is tough and ruthless, reminiscent of games from three decades ago, but it's also incredibly fun and successful. Steel Mantis has filled the gap left by Turrican, Contra, and similar games, providing a solid and stimulating experience for nostalgic players and those seeking a challenging and entertaining game.
