Ultra Hat Dimension is a game without great qualities. With a focus on gameplay, it fails to deliver really interesting puzzles, oscillating between the boredom of more than fifty obvious levels and only a handful of challenging areas. For people looking for a casual retro-style puzzle, there are much better options on the market.

Ultra Hat Dimension will entertain fans of puzzle games, although it may not be enough with other puzzle titles in the video game market.

I’ve always had an interest in the strange and surreal. Who cares about the ordinary when the world offers so many wonderfully weird things to enjoy? From the title alone, I knew Ultra Hat Dimension was going to be a slice of interesting oddness.

Ultra Hat Dimension feels like a game created by people who loved old dungeon-based puzzlers. The game requires strategy, but it is entertainingly deceitful. It's a balance of frustration and cutesy atmosphere that I really appreciate. Somewhat strange premise aside, Ultra Hat Dimension is a fun game woven with care.

The game may not have a lot of replay value but I think I can see myself revisiting in when I want to play something casual and nice. I never felt stressed playing the game. It felt like just the right balance of challenge for a relaxing gaming session. Sometimes you just need a game that’s casual, simple and makes you smile. Ultra Hat Dimension easily fits that bill. The cute graphics and sounds are a very original concept for a puzzle game. The lesson I learned is no matter how many times I got punched, I could still make it through. Maybe a life lesson we all need sometimes.
