Testament is a first-person single-player action-adventure game with bits of RPG and metroidvania elements set in a post-apocalyptic fantasy world. It offers a mixed combat with different possibilities and combination by sword, spells and bow while it is rich with platforming and puzzles.

About the story

Testament is an original story set in the land of Tessara. Aran, the king of High humans, loses his divine powers and falls to the ground after being betrayed by his brother, Arva. The world has been plunged into darkness and overrun by monsters, and Aran sets out on a quest to regain his powers and confront Arva to restore Tessara to its former glory. Along the way, he must overcome various obstacles, including corrupt leaders, tainted cities, and dangerous creatures, to ultimately defeat Arva and destroy the Tree of Darkness.

This video game is like a vacation by the sea, but in an average resort with modest food ' you'll fill up, at times you might feel unwell, but you're by the sea and have some leisure time!

Testament is the type of game you play to learn what you should not do when you make a game. Everything about this game is either mediocre at best or absolute broken.

Testament: The Order of High Human was a rather ambitious attempt to combine action and puzzle gameplay, but in the end, it has proven to be too ambitious for the developers. The game is long, but unfortunately also bland and repetitive.

Testament: The Order of High Human is just a bit dull, with the game’s combat and puzzling proving repetitive and uninspired throughout. Nothing about the game is awful, but it was rare that I found myself buzzing when facing a challenging encounter or satisfied after solving a drawn-out enigma. It’s just all a bit meh, with nothing about the game feeling interesting enough to make it stand out when compared to all of the other (and far better) first-person fantasy adventures out there.

Every minute I played this game was just a reminder that I still need to play through the updated classic, Metroid Prime Remastered (I’ve just been too busy!). While I simply can’t recommend this game even to the most forgiving fans of the genre it so badly wants to be a part of, if you want to put “metroidvania” and “first-person” together, there really is nothing better than the Metroid Prime series. Go play those instead of this.
