Poop City (2026)

Copa City delivers an engaging football concept and an enjoyable atmosphere, but its execution falls short of realizing much of that potential. While the game initially feels deep and promising, it quickly reveals limited systems, noticeable repetition, and a progression path that is largely linear.

If you're still craving that World Cup atmosphere, it looks like you're going to stay hungry for a while. Because Copa City isn't the game that's going to satisfy that craving. Then again, it's not exactly a finished game either...

There are undoubtedly gamers who appreciate Copa City's simplicity and don’t miss the deeper layers, but this game feels like a hollow cup that could have been made of gold-plated metal.

Copa City is our biggest disappointment of 2026 so far. While the idea of managing the logistical and urban side of a football event is fresh and fascinating, the execution is disastrous. Clunky controls, a confusing interface, severe technical issues, and a lack of content completely ruin the experience. It's a huge missed opportunity, made even worse by a too-high price tag.

Copa City has a brilliant concept, turning football into a tycoon about fan zones, crowd management, stadium preparation, and the hidden logistics behind match day. When the city comes alive and fans start filling the streets, its unusual perspective really works. Too often, though, unclear tutorials, weak feedback, rough navigation, and an underwhelming match payoff get in the way of what could have been a much smoother management experience.
