Part Time Job is a My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Visual Novel developed by Yumi-And-ZB, also going by Samuel Kingsley. You play as pegasus mare Pastel Sketch, who is going through financial issues due to her artwork not earning her enough money. Looking for a part time job, she goes to the town bulletin board; among several choices she decides she wouldn't be good at, there's an ad for working at a hospital. Turns out it's a mental hospital, run by Fluttershy. Deciding she needs the rather large payment of thirty thousand bits, Pastel takes the job. She'll wish she hadn't. The game is based off of the song Wide Knowledge of the Late Madness.

By Michael McCannNo pun intended, but Part Time UFO is the very definition of a pick-up-and-play effort. You know… pick up… with a claw… Ahem! Anyway, it's rewarding for short bursts and designed very well for this kind of play, with a level of polish not found in some other 'short burst' titles. It also saves some of its best surprises for the endgame. With an included co-op mode too it's a design sensibility, and a deceptive amount of content, that shows off HAL Laboratory's years of expertise of structuring reward in that respect. It may frustrate players on longer sessions, though, or after multiple fails on a repeated 'job,' but this is always offset by the charming and colourful style, which by the way also includes some well-placed cameos in the stage background to look out for. Along with that rock-solid reply value, this is definitely easy to keep coming back to.

By Farley SantosPart Time UFO uses charm and creativity to create a great puzzle games. Carrying things with a claw and doing countless jobs is fun, mainly because of the wide variety of situations, which are even cooler in the company of a friend. Some moments are annoying, as they require a lot of precision and the controls don't always offer the needed accuracy - luckily, they are rare. The visual captivates with the use of lots of color and expressive characters, and there is a lot of content to explore in optional modes and challenges. In the end, Part Time UFO is a unique experience and a remarkable puzzle.

By Becca S.It was a joy to visit Part Time UFO again outside of a smart phone. Being on Switch gives the game new life, and it’s more enjoyable than ever. Thanks to its varied levels and its ridiculously cute characters, you’ll come back to it again and again. Just don’t expect too much from its multiplayer mode.
