Overcooked 2 is a cooperative cooking simulation game for up to four players. Teams work together to prepare and serve food orders in increasingly chaotic kitchen environments, coordinating tasks like chopping, cooking, plating, and dishwashing under time pressure. Levels feature dynamic obstacles such as moving floors, portals, fires, and shifting layouts that complicate coordination. The sequel to Overcooked introduces a throwing mechanic for tossing ingredients across the kitchen and adds online multiplayer alongside local co-op.

By FrostilyteA fantastic co-op game, Overcooked 2 is an easy recommendation for those looking for a game to play with friends and family. The pacing, mechanics that encourage cooperative behaviour, the addition of a much-needed arcade mode, and accessibility all make for a decidedly fun game. The lack of variety in the arcade and versus' mode stages is a bit disappointing, as is how much of the game's identity is owed to what came before it, but these are only minor misgivings in the face of what Overcooked 2 does well.

By Ethan ButterfieldIs Overcooked 2! worth the purchase? I would say it is, for sure. The story and writing may be a bit over-the-top and punny for my liking, but there are certainly people out there that will have some fun with it. So whether you're a cook for the ages or a master of the macaroni and cheese, Overcooked 2! is certainly worth picking up.

By Jason HidalgoThe hectic co-op cooking game is back for another heaping serving with Overcooked 2. The sequel adds even more crazy mechanics and hazards to overcome, the ability to throw your food without your mom berating you, and the option to play online with other folks to boot. Controls still can be finicky at times and lag can be an issue online as well. Overall, though, Overcooked 2 is one gaming dish you'll want to savor if you love charming co-op hijinks with a gourmet twist.
