This game will likely make such a fleeting appearance in your life that it'll disappear under the TV stand or behind the sofa. Sadly, a disappointment on many fronts.

A well-built karaoke game, that's a great laugh and genuinely fun with a few friends/for a party. But a lack of content, and a limited variety of song types with the on-disc setlist (and no confirmation on any future DLC) as well as no real innovation in the genre of the game limits it from being much more else than a short burst of fun from time to time with some friends. That's at best case scenario!

Now That's What I Call Sing is the first karaoke title to hit the Xbox One, but a lot of people may choose to give this one a miss. A narrow selection of songs that is restricted to just a couple of music types makes this game a choice for like-minded friends rather than a large gathering of different people. There are plenty of game modes to try and a presentation that is friendly for karaoke novices, especially when there is no fail option to discourage people before they've even begun. The main problem, though, is that the game cannot recognise high notes regardless of your microphone. The only way that you'll be able to get a high score and unlock all of the achievements is if you can sing comfortably in mid-range, and not many can do this.

NOW That's What I Call Sing is a solid buy for anyone in need of a karaoke game on the PS4. Its wide variety of modes make it a hugely entertaining release to play with friends or by yourself, and the vast range of songs ensures that you'll always have something to sing. Whether you're in the mood for Jess Glynne or Lorde, this title has you covered – and that's what makes it Charli XCXellent.

Another competent karaoke game to add to the ever-increasing pile. Limited in original ideas and possessing a poor range of variety in musical terms, NOW That's What I Call Sing is a rather underwhelming addition to the genre.
