By TraceyMother Russia Bleeds is an extremely violent and tough game containing strong drug references, and that means this release is not for everyone. The game is now available on Nintendo Switch, so you can take it for a spin in Portable or Tabletop mode or play at home by docking the console for some fun solo or multiplayer sessions. Let us know what you think about this game in the comments below!
Pure Nintendo
By Dawson HeltonMother Russia Bleeds is a unique beat 'em up with some clever ideas at work. This title falls short of realizing them due to, framerate issues and some childish plot devices.
Nintendo Life
By Jon MundyMother Russia Bleeds is a proficiently-made side-scrolling beat 'em up that ultimately fails to drag this already limited genre forwards with any great new ideas of its own. Add in a wearyingly mature aesthetic and you're left with an oddly downbeat button-mashing action game; fans of the genre should wait for the forthcoming Streets of Rage 4 or download Capcom's superb Beat 'Em Up Bundle.
NintendoWorldReport
By Joel A. DeWitteMother Russia Bleeds is an unapologetically offensive but well-executed brawler that on its face, only a mother could love. If you enjoy the violent or obscene, aren't squeamish, and are looking to bust skulls with reckless abandon, it's one of the better playing and looking offerings on Switch today.
Nindie Spotlight
By Nindie SpotlightAll in all I’d say that Mother Russia Bleeds is likely a game best left to genre fans due to its level of violence and difficulty. In general just about anything else will be a milder experience, or at least not as excessive. That said, if you’re someone who loves a tough beat-em-up experience I’d say this is pretty well a must-buy for doing the genre proud with challenging gameplay and quite a number of surprises along the way. If you’ve been bemoaning the same old same old in brawlers get ready for a kick in the teeth with Mother Russia Bleeds, it’s hardly ordinary.
