Nindie Spotlight
By Justin NationThough my natural tendency is to giggle at the use of EXTREME in any title, and I won’t try to argue that the game’s presentation doesn’t inspire confidence, I’ll admit that I’ve had much more fun with this combat racer than I would have assumed...
GameSpew
By Richard SeagraveAs long as you’re aware that Gas Guzzlers Extreme is a single-player only experience, chances are you’ll get a hell of a lot of enjoyment out of it. It’s nice that you can chart your own course through the game’s career, focusing on racing or combat as you see fit. And there are plenty of vehicles to unlock, purchase and upgrade to your heart’s content. The zombie horde modes are just the icing on the cake, offering something a little bit different when trading paint has lost its appeal. Though it’ll be a while before that happens.
COGconnected
By Lou SytsmaNo matter how well you do, you’ll never pull away from the pack. It’s the cheapest of AI solutions and undermines any sense of accomplishment. There’s no escape from it either, as the game does not support multiplayer. So it’s AI racing or nothing.
Push Square
By Stephen TailbyGas Guzzlers Extreme is a bad name for a pretty bad game.
