Eventide 2 is a sequel of Eventide Slavic Fable. Each game tells a different story but their common feature is a fantasy setting inspired by Slavic mythology. In the second part of the series players find themselves in a forgotten mountain village ruled by a mysterious Sorcerer. The story is inspired by Polish legend of Master Tvardovsky and other Slavic legendary heroes. Gamers will be able to meet the good outlaw Yanosik and many other well known characters. The game is a Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure based on gameplay solutions classic for the genre such as solving puzzles, mini games, finding and collecting hidden objects. The goal of the game is to discover the Sorcerer’s evil plan and defeat him in a direct combat. Moral choices are a novelty for the genre introduced in Eventide 2. All decisions the gamer makes throughout their play-through will impact the way the story evolves and the game’s ending. Therefore, they’ll be able to enjoy a much richer and deeper story and will be encouraged to finish the game again, making different decisions this time.
About the story
The Sorcerer’s Mirror presents another chapter of the adventures of Mary, a botanist from the first Eventide. This time Mara has to release her niece Jenny from the clutches of Tvardovsky the immortal wizard, who kidnapped the girl during a trip into the mountains. Mary will do everything to rescue this girl – she will venture into an ancient forest filled with a mysterious power and walk along the steep mountain paths and the ruins, where she’ll meet imps, phantoms, and other mystical creatures from Eastern and Central European fairy tales. To defeat the sorcerer, she’ll have to solve the mystery of the enchanted village and make very unusual allies, such as the famous 17th-century outlaw Yanosik. Will she reveal the secrets of Master Tvardovsky before it’s too late?

By TraceyEventide 2: Sorcerer's Mirror is a good sequel to Eventide and a fun point and click adventure with plenty of puzzles to solve. Other than some instances in which clicking on larger objects in a hidden object puzzle didn't immediately register until the second-third time I clicked, the game is a solid release with plenty of content for its asking price. It has great graphics, relaxing music and entertaining gameplay mechanics that make it an easy release to recommend.

By the_nmacI liked Eventide 2: Sorcerer's Mirror. The first one was one of my favorite from the developer because of the story and this one does not disappoint. I'm also glad to see the gameplay evolving which is alwasy necessary especially with how many games are coming out from the company with the same engine. I like those new items in the game play. The CGI was much better this time around, but some voicework still fall flat. I would love to see them open up there game in that regard.

It sticks to the tried and tested formula of previous PS4 releases by Artifex Mundi, whilst innovating by changing things around and adding some new mechanics.

By Tyler SchurwanI would argue that Eventide 2 is one of, if not, the best Artifex Mundi games available on Xbox at this point. I truly hope that future titles share Eventide 2's trend of improving on previous games. Honestly though, you'll have to have played the previous titles to appreciate the changes this title has made.
