Drive Girls (2017)

If it feels like Drive Girls still interests you despite what I had to say, I'd recommend maybe picking it up if it were on sale as it can make for a decent time killer if you're on the transit to work or school. Outside of that, there's not a whole lot to recommend, as it offers too little to make for an engaging title.

Drive Girls is a weird release, and while I congratulate Aksys Games for bringing it over here, in the end, I can't help but wonder how this game will be received by gamers this late in the PlayStation Vita life. The gameplay is hard to pick up, and the camera was unhelpful due to the lack of an auto-targeting system. The races, which are the other part of the game, feel too long and take place on bland tracks. The fan-service will certainly make some gamers happy, but this release is definitively not for everyone.

Tamsoft has experience with action games, however, Drive Girls needed a lot more polish to become a recommended product. Even among Tamsoft developed games, there are many other games that deserve your time and cash.

The repetitive nature of the hack and slash combat and the lack of inspiration for the story and visuals makes it hard to recommend Drive Girls for anything other than amusement.

It's not that Drive Girls is simply repetitive, it's just somehow boring. And that's not something I thought I'd say about a game where women transform into cars, fight bug-robots and lose their clothes.
