Players will join Barbie and her sisters as they work together to rescue and train lost puppies in Barbie and Her Sisters: Puppy Rescue. The game is set in Barbie’s hometown Willows, and inspired by the home movie Barbie and her Sisters in the Great Puppy Adventure.
About the story
Players will join Barbie and her sisters Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea, as they solve clues to find and rescue lost puppies in need. Each sister will bring her own unique set of skills and activities to the game. Players can groom puppies at Chelsea’s Pup Care, or teach them new games at the Pup Camp with Stacie, resulting in a game filled with opportunities where girls can rescue, nurture, groom and ultimately have fun with the playful puppies!

By André ErikssonBarbie and her Sisters: Puppy Rescue would have done well as a Facebook game or smartphone app. However, as a console title, it suffers from downtime and repetition. For people who intend to play this as a five-minutes-at-a-time game, it will be a blast, but very few people play on consoles like that, making it difficult to recommend even to long-time fans of the Barbie brand.

By Shawn LongWhile Barbie and Her Sisters: Puppy Rescue isn't a game targeted for me, I don't know if young kids will be able to enjoy it either. The Barbie on her bike segments are a big chunk of the game, and they are very clunky and at times confusing, which could be very off-putting to younger gamers. It's a budget retail release at $39.99, but with the stellar Wii U lineup of family friendly first party titles, it's hard to recommend this game as a purchase. If you have a kid that's an extreme Barbie fan, this may be worth a look, but other than that I'd leave Barbie and Her Sisters: Puppy Rescue in the kennel.
