Titanfall 2 is a first-person shooter with both a single-player campaign and competitive multiplayer. The campaign follows a Militia rifleman who bonds with a Titan, a large bipedal mech, after his pilot is killed. Gameplay combines fast-paced infantry movement, including wall-running and double-jumping, with sections where the player controls the Titan in combat. Multiplayer features team-based modes with players fighting as both Pilots and Titans on the same battlefield.
About the story
In the distant future, a conflict rages between the IMC and the Frontier Militia across the galaxy's outer colonies. Jack Cooper, a rifleman in the Militia with aspirations of becoming a Pilot, is stranded behind enemy lines when his mentor is killed in action. Bonded to his mentor's Titan, a massive combat mech called BT-7274, Cooper must complete a mission he was never trained for while being hunted by the IMC's elite mercenary forces.

By Jesse NorrisGoing back through the campaign for this review has reminded me of just how much I love this game, and I hope it inspires at least a few of you to finally give it a go, and with Game Pass Ultimate offering it up at no extra cost…. Why not?

By Nate KiernanTitanfall 2 is certainly explosive, and at times elegant, but it is primarily an exercise in player omnipotence and reverence. It’s really not about the pilots or titans, it’s about making you feel cool and never stopping to ask why.
Suitably Bored
By Charl den DulkWhile Titanfall 2’s campaign is a tad short for my liking and as previously stated can be finished in a single sitting of between 5-8 hours this does not detract from the brilliant campaign, the characters are amazing, voice acting is great and the level design is amazing. Plus there’s loads of variety in the missions, which is always great for an FPS game. It’s very refreshing in that context. I really wanted more of the spectacular campaign designs and story but unfortunately, you don’t always get what you want. Titanfall 2 is not just a worthy sequel to the original game, but one that improves upon the original while keeping everything that was fun in the original intact. There isn’t a shooter on the market currently that can compare to the spectacle that is Titanfall 2 even though it was released in 2016. I highly recommend picking it up even if it is only for the short campaign.

By RayWhile Titanfall 2 is far superior than the original game and has done so much to improve, one can only find the campaign to be lacking as the overall game is carried by a well-crafted multiplayer experience. It's undeniable that this is the real reason why players will be coming back to play it over and over, and with regular free content updates including new maps, weapons, and features, who knows what innovative experiences Respawn has planned for the future of Titanfall 2.

By Luke StoneBased on the campaign & vanilla gameplay alone I think that Titanfall 2 is the best single player FPS that I have played since Modern Warfare and sincerely hope that this is the direction that EA and Respawn (LOL) move forwards in, in the future.
