By Wyatt DanielsRisk: Urban Assault, while flawed and bare-bones, has renewed my interest in Risk. Risk’s biggest issue, pacing, is only half-solved in Urban Assault with the “Fast AI” system. Most Disappointingly though, it lacks any semblance of a campaign

By Stuart GollanRisk: Urban Assault is a decent game wrapped in a terrible package disrespectful of the player and their time. It throws pointless animations, cutscenes and bloat into a board game that is already well known for being a soul sucking grind. If this was just a board game I’d begrudgingly recommend it to people who really like Risk but as a video game I find it hard to recommend to anybody.

By Víctor RodríguezRISK: Urban Assault adapts the board game to the consoles so that we can enjoy it playing it with friends. However, if you play alone, you will find that the AI is terrible in this game..

By Steve ClarkA solid adaptation of the classic board game, but it won’t win any medals.

By Matt SainsburyUbisoft has done everything it can to dress Urban Assault up and give fans a reason to dip again, even if they already own vanilla Risk on their PlayStation 4s. The game itself is a quality take on the board game. It’s just unfortunate that there is such structural issues with Risk itself that it’s rapidly losing relevance, even in the board game scene. I would like to see Ubisoft turn its development skills here to give us a really killer console adaptation of Catan, or Agricola, or Ticket to Ride, or similar.
