In Magic 2015, players are given the ability to create custom decks. As games are won and experience is earned, new cards of the player's choice are added to their collection. Players are also given the ability to open virtual booster packs to give more options when deck building, and the game gives assistance in creating decks.

Gaming Nexus
By Jeremy DuffMagic 2015 is like taking 2 steps forward and one step back. While true deck building has finally been added, the loss of other modes that have become staples of the series diminishes its overall impact. This is still a solid offering for fans of the classic trading card game. This is about as close to Magic as you can get without actually dealing out the cards.

By John ElliottEven with the expansion included, Magic: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2015 doesn't offer enough variety and makes it too difficult to progress through the game without feeling pressured to buy cards with physical money. What this game seems good for however are those people who might be interested in playing the actual physical card game.
Digital Chumps
By Nathaniel Stevensagic: The Gathering — Duels of the Planeswalkers 2015 doesn't pull any punches with what it is and how it's played. It's a tough game that will challenge you, much like the actual card game, and will force you to think and strategize before jumping into the mix. It's certainly made for a specific audience that enjoys mathematics and forward thinking.
High-Def Digest
By Levi van Tine'Magic 2015' is frustrating not because it's bad, but because it is so close to being so good. It takes a step forward with the deck builder and two steps back with its cumbersome interface and lack of engaging gametypes for both single and multiplayer. The pay-to-win model has not taken over just yet, but it is creeping steadily closer. If you have enjoyed previous versions of 'Duels of the Planeswalkers' and are a serious 'Magic' fan, it's not a bad play. If you are a newcomer to the series, consider the 2013 or 2014 edition instead.

By Luke GreenfieldIt seems Wizards of the Coast have taken a step back with Magic 2015. Bad Deck Building, micro-transactions and lack of other modes makes for a boring and unimaginative installment of Duels of The Planeswalkers.
