F1 23 confirms its position as one of the best simulators on the market, correcting the mistakes of the last title, and Codemasters have taken a step forward from last time. However, the title still suffers from a lack of time between releases. It tries to compensate for this with a story and a new F1 World mode, but it won't be enough for everyone.

Overall, F1 23 is a surprise and a significant improvement of the series, especially compared to the weaker F1 22, it is a nice jump. It has a lot of content for both single player and multiplayer drivers.

F1 23 falls short in the same areas as its predecessors have over many years. There's a great single player experience let down by a completely neglected multiplayer, which brings the games longevity into question. Those who love the F1 games regardless will find this iteration to at least be better in some ways.

F1 23 really nails the driving experience like no iteration has done before. Catching slides makes you feel every bit the seasoned F1 driver. It’s a game changer. The Breaking Point story mode is really well done with some great acting, story twists/turns and some top notch cutscenes that heighten the drama. It’s time now for the franchise to move up the grid and onto current gen only release, carrying forward the pieces that have been mastered. Codemasters must press the foot to the floor and finally put some of the quirks that have been hanging around the game for a few years now firmly in the rear view mirrors. This one takes the chequered flag with a very strong Thumb Culture Gold Award.
