"From the Star Wars: Empire at War and Command & Conquer veterans at Petroglyph comes the first-ever strategy game set in the barbaric world of Conan the Barbarian. Conan Unconquered is a strategy game set in the barbaric world of Conan the Barbarian where you must build your stronghold and assemble an unconquerable army to survive the savage hordes of Hyboria. Wave after wave of increasingly more difficult enemies will rush at your gates and you will need to manage resources, research new technologies to advance your defenses, and recruit an ever-growing army if you are to save survive utter destruction. You can choose to play the game entirely alone in single-player, but Conan Unconquered can also be enjoyed in full two-player co-op allowing for a truly unique, shared multiplayer experience. Players share a base, but both can freely construct new buildings and amass an army to reach their common goal. Similar to games such as They Are Billions, the enemy hordes will keep coming at you and how long you can resist the invasion depends entirely on your ability to build your stronghold and lead your army. Gameplay is real-time, but you can also pause at any time to issue commands and start construction of new buildings. Battles will be bloody and savage with players having to deal with anything from fires raging through their stronghold to piles of corpses spreading death and disease. The savage horde is at your gates. Will you fall or will you remain unconquered?"

Thumb Culture
By Thumb CultureIn conclusion, the game didn’t make me want to go back and play more, this was mainly due to the lack of a storyline. Because of this it almost made the game feel like an RTS Tower Defense cross over game that could be released on a mobile platform. I feel harsh saying that because the game isn’t by any means bad, If you are looking for a game that is a pickup and play whenever you have 30 minutes spare then this could be for you and due to this I am awarding the game a Silver Thumb Culture Award.

By Chris O'ConnorOverall… it's fun, but does get frustrating on the later levels… the fact you can't save your game to try a configuration and then reload if it didn't quite work simply adds to that frustration. At the current price tag I think it might be a little much… but there is a bit of value in the unlockable comic pages and the ability to play through as a couple of other characters is nice. Perhaps wait for a sale unless you happen to really like tower defense style gaming.

By Robert RisdonWhile it is no genre-defining title like Command & Conquer, Conan Unconquered is more than just a worthy successor to a team of developers known for their storied past. Excellent graphics, if troublesome user interface, and a pacing that will have you both glued to the seat and your heart beating with the very drums of war. Conan Unconquered should without a doubt, be in every RTS fan’s library.

By John JacquesConan Unconquered challenges players to survive waves of enemies, but not to the sense of scale fans will have hoped for.

By Jamie DalzellAnd as for Conan Unconquered? It’s passable. A pastiche. A painting of a game that lacks all the vim and vigour in the brushstrokes that may have offered some semblance of excitement or, heaven forbid, enough enthusiasm to bring Conan himself back to life.
