Critic Reviews
DASHGAMER.com
By Dan RizzoWhile I would love to say that this title is an authentic, Aussie Rules Footy experience in your hands, I just can’t approve of the numerous dilemma’s it carries. If there was anything positive to take from the title itself, it’s that AFL Evolution 2 is a playable experience, but one you would ultimately walk away from questioning its existence.
Player2.net.au
By Paul JamesIn spite of all of its flaws, there’s still this immeasurable something about the AFL Evolution 2 experience that continues to pull you in. Perhaps it’s the arcadey experience in a simulation skin, or maybe it’s just the players love of the sport that’s carrying them through, but there is still enjoyment to be found here, you just need to be prepared to overlook the plentiful flaws to get to that point.
Stevivor
By Ben SalterThere’s more fun to be had here than the past couple of games, and it feels like it’s been made with more passion, by AFL fans, for AFL fans who desperately want an AFL game to play.
WellPlayed
By Zach JacksonDespite needing some fine-tuning, AFL Evolution 2 is an improvement in every facet and the best modern take on AFL yet
PowerUp!
By Jayden WilliamsThe game certainly has its issues, namely its slightly buggy AI and difficult-to-learn control scheme, which might be problematic for a lot of people looking to jump into the world of virtual AFL for the first time. But, that doesn’t mire an otherwise fun sports game.
